La Liga has officially announced that from the upcoming season, it will implement the automated offside detection system currently in use at Euro 2024 and successfully tested at the 2022 World Cup.
Thus, La Liga becomes the first top league to adopt this technology.
Interestingly, La Liga still does not have goal-line technology, which led to a major controversy during the last El Clásico.
The 2024/25 La Liga season will commence on August 15 with a match between Getafe and Athletic.
