Euromatch NPFL: Plateau United Beat Kwara United 1-0 to Claim First Win

Plateau United bounced back from their opening-day defeat with a 1-0 victory over Kwara United in their Euromatch Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 2 fixture at the New Jos Stadium on Sunday.

The only goal of the game arrived in the 29th minute when Alex Aghaowa rose to score a stunning header and give Plateau United the lead.

Kwara United pushed for an equaliser after the break, but the home side held firm to protect their advantage and secure all three points.

The victory gives Plateau United their first win of the season after they suffered a 2-0 defeat to Rivers United in their opening game.

Kwara United, meanwhile, will be disappointed to leave Jos without a point as thry are still searching for their first win of th season.
