The 2024 European Championship will mark the final major tournament for not only Toni Kroos but also another German legend.

According to Sport Bild insider Tobi Altscheffl, legendary goalkeeper Manuel Neuer will end his international career with the German national team after the home Euro 2024.

It is expected that Marc-André ter Stegen from Barcelona will become the primary goalkeeper for the German national team in the upcoming Nations League and the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Furthermore, it is likely that Manuel Neuer will retire from professional football in the summer of 2025 when his contract with Bayern Munich expires.

Previously, Julian Nagelsmann stated that Neuer would be the starting goalkeeper for the home European Championship, where Germany will compete in a group alongside Scotland, Switzerland, and Hungary.
