Details: The player in question is Federico Valverde, who completed a hat-trick in the first half. According to Stats Foot, he became only the second Uruguayan player to achieve this feat. The previous one was Walter Pandiani, who scored a hat-trick against PSG on March 7, 2001.
Incidentally, in the 20th minute Thibaut Courtois delivered a sensational long pass that allowed Federico Valverde to open the scoring against Manchester City.
