Enzo Maresca provides update on Trevoh Chalobah’s injury and recovery timeline
In their latest Premier League match, Chelsea suffered a 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa, but the bigger concern was the injury to central defender Trevoh Chalobah.
Details: Speaking at a press conference ahead of Chelsea’s next match, Italian manager Enzo Maresca confirmed that the English center-back has undergone medical examinations and will be sidelined for a few weeks.
Quote: “He had a check-up yesterday. He will be out for around 7–10 days,” said the Chelsea head coach.
Chelsea will be back in Premier League action on Tuesday, February 25, when they host Southampton at Stamford Bridge. Kickoff is set for 21:15 CET.
Earlier, Chelsea had already lost their key striker, Nicolas Jackson. The Senegalese forward is sidelined with an injury until at least April.
Reminder: Maresca had previously discussed how long Noni Madueke would be out due to injury.
