Top clubs are trying to find young players to serve them faithfully for as long as possible. And teams from England have found one in the Belgian league.

According to local publication Nieuwsblad, Arsenal and Liverpool are interested in Brugge midfielder Maxime De Keijper. The 23-year-old Belgian has long attracted the attention of big-name clubs like Ajax or Marseille, but the latter has so far shown loyalty to the Belgian football grandee.

He recently extended his contract with Brugge, which was due to expire in the summer of 2025, for another three years, which has made it somewhat difficult for top clubs to sign De Keijper.

He doesn't really want to leave his current club himself. His task at the moment is to establish himself in Brugge and the Belgian national team, where he made his debut at the beginning of June. De Keiper was also included in the Red Devils' bid for Euro 2024, but has not played a single minute on the German pitch.

Earlier, Brugge sold their star Antonio Nusa to RB Leipzig.
