The page of the English football club Wigan on the social network Instagram was subject to a hacker attack.

Instead of old publications, photographs of an unknown woman in a headscarf appeared there.

As of December 15, the club’s social network page was returned to the owners. All images published by hackers have been deleted. It should be noted that over 176 thousand users are subscribed to the club’s Instagram page.

The club has not yet made an official statement on this matter. The motive of the attackers is also unknown, since they did not make any demands.

Based on the results of 20 matches in English League One (the third-strongest division), Wigan ranks ninth in the standings. Last season, the team played in the Championship (the second-strongest division), but took last place there and were demoted in class.

In 20 games of the new season, Wigan won nine times, lost seven times and drew four times.
