After an astonishing previous season, Manchester United's star forward Marcus Rashford is showing less-than-stellar performance. With only seven goals in 34 matches, concerns arise not only about the forward's decline in productivity but also about his behavior off the field.

In October of last year, Rashford was spotted at a party just hours after a devastating defeat to Manchester City. Then, in January, the player was seen again in a nightclub in Belfast in the early morning hours, after which he missed his team's match.

In light of this, England's national team head coach, Gareth Southgate, warned him, stating that young attacking players like Cole Palmer from Chelsea and Anthony Gordon from Newcastle could compete with him for a spot in Euro 2024.

Addressing reporters, Southgate said:

"Marcus is competing with Gordon, Palmer, and [Phil] Foden. There is significant competition for places in that part of the field. What happens while players are with their clubs is a club matter because they know the full story. They know exactly what is going on.

Obviously, we're monitoring everything; we don't miss anything. I'm not saying that off-field behavior doesn't matter because clearly it does. But the main focus is largely on performance on the field. He faces stiff competition."

It's worth noting that during the upcoming international break, the Three Lions will play friendly matches against Brazil on March 23rd and Belgium on March 26th.
