England and Italy win convincingly. The results of Group C in the Euro qualifiers

In Group C, the leaders contested their qualifying matches for the 2024 European Championship, which will take place in Germany. England and Italy hosted Malta and North Macedonia, respectively, on their home grounds.

England 2-0 Malta

England had already secured their place in Euro, so this match held no significance for Southgate's team. In the eighth minute, Malta's defender Enrico Pepe scored an own goal, giving England the lead. England continued to dominate, and on the 75th minute, Harry Kane doubled the advantage for the Three Lions. The score could have been 3-0, but the referee disallowed Rice's goal for offside.

Italy 5-2 North Macedonia

North Macedonia managed to get back into the game. Atanasov scored on the 52nd and 74th minutes. It seemed that Macedonia could score a third time, but the Italians immediately responded with another goal. Giacomo Raspadori made it 4-2, and in added time, El Shaarawy sealed the match with a 5-2 victory.

After seven rounds, Italy and Ukraine both have 13 points. Therefore, the match between these teams on November 20 will determine the participant in the European Championship.
