Legendary Brazilian footballer Marcelo has had a remarkable career, but the time has come to hang up his boots.

Details: Marcelo took to social media to post a video announcing his retirement from professional football. The majority of his illustrious career was spent at Real Madrid.

Quote: "At 18 years old, Real Madrid knocked on my door, and I came. I can proudly say that I am a true ‘Madridista.’ Sixteen seasons, 25 titles, five Champions League victories, serving as one of the captains, and many magical nights at the Bernabéu. Real Madrid is a unique club. Madridismo is an indescribable feeling," Marcelo stated.

Over his career, the 36-year-old Brazilian played 721 matches, scored 58 goals, provided 117 assists, and won 31 trophies at both club and international levels.

Reminder: It was recently reported that after leaving Real Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti has no plans to retire from coaching. The legendary Italian intends to take a break before returning to the dugout.
