Madrid's Atletico is gearing up for a unique milestone in its recent history.

Details: According to StatsFoot, in the Matchday 8 Champions League clash against Norway's Bodo/Glimt, Atletico will take the field in Europe's top club competition without Antoine Griezmann for the first time since November 3, 2021 (their match against Liverpool).

This officially ends an impressive run of 39 consecutive Champions League matches where the Frenchman was a constant presence for Diego Simeone's side.

It's worth noting that kickoff against Bodo/Glimt is scheduled for 21:00 Central European Time.

Reminder: Atletico is preparing to sign Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka.
