Emotional meeting between Pape Thiaw and the mother of a Senegalese supporter detained in Morocco

The scene took place during the Trophy Tour, which began on 7 February to present the Africa Cup of Nations to all regions of Senegal.

The second day of the tour was marked by a stop in Saint-Louis, one of the cities in the country of the Lions of Teranga.

The image that left a lasting impression at this stage was the moving encounter between the coach of the Senegalese national team, Pape Thiaw, and the mother of a Senegalese supporter who is still detained in Morocco along with 17 others because of the incidents that occurred on 18 January during the African Cup of Nations final won by Senegal.

Pape Thiaw offered psychological support to the fan's mother and allowed her to lift the Africa Cup of Nations trophy.
