Tottenham's captain bid farewell to head coach Ange Postecoglou on social media.

Details: On Friday, Tottenham announced their decision to part ways with their head coach after two years at the helm.

The decision came just 16 days after Postecoglou led Spurs to victory in Bilbao, clinching the Europa League Cup—a trophy the club had not lifted since 2008.

In his Instagram post, Son praised Postecoglou's impact and said he became “a better player and a better person” under his guidance:

Boss. You changed the trajectory of this club. You believed in yourself and in us from day one, never wavering for a second. Even when others doubted. You knew what we were capable of right from the start. You did things your way. And your way delivered this club its greatest night in decades. These memories will stay with us for a lifetime.

You entrusted me with the captaincy. One of the greatest honors of my career.

It was an incredible privilege to learn from you. Thanks to you, I became a better player and a better person.

Ange Postecoglou, you are forever a Tottenham Hotspur legend. Thank you, mate.

For the record, despite the Europa League triumph, Tottenham's management decided to dismiss the Australian coach due to a disappointing Premier League campaign: Spurs finished 17th, suffering 22 defeats.
