Emma Hayes and Carlo Ancelotti named Coaches of the Year by France Football
The awards ceremony by France Football is underway in Paris. Before announcing the Ballon d'Or winners in men’s and women’s football, the organizers revealed the best coaches in both categories.
Emma Hayes was named the best coach in women’s football. Last season, she managed Chelsea before leaving to take over the U.S. national team.
With Chelsea, Hayes led the team to the FA Women’s League Cup final. The team reached the semifinals in both the FA Cup and the UEFA Women’s Champions League, while in the Women’s Super League, Chelsea claimed their fifth consecutive title. In her short time with the U.S. team, Hayes also guided them to a gold medal at the 2024 Olympic Games.
In men’s football, Carlo Ancelotti, the head coach of Real Madrid, was awarded the title of best coach.
With Real Madrid last season, the Italian coach won the UEFA Champions League, La Liga, and the Spanish Super Cup, adding the UEFA Super Cup to his achievements this summer.
