Emery rules out Douglas Luiz's return in January

Due to Financial Fair Play constraints, Aston Villa sold midfielder Douglas Luiz to Juventus over the summer. However, the Brazilian has struggled to find his place in Turin, making just two starts. This has sparked speculation about a potential return to Birmingham, but Aston Villa manager Unai Emery has taken a firm stance on the matter.

Details: Emery dismissed the possibility of Luiz returning, stating that the midfielder appears content in Turin and is unlikely to want to leave Juventus.

Quote: "I don’t understand the question. He should be happy there, he should take on the challenge of proving his quality and help them achieve their goals collectively. I don’t think he’d want to leave, but I don’t know. He’s injured, so he won’t be here," Emery told Sky Sports.

Reminder: Reports have suggested that Juventus manager Thiago Motta is dissatisfied with Luiz’s attitude in training, and the club may consider offloading him in the upcoming transfer window.
