Emerse Faé is reportedly set to remain in charge of the Ivory Coast national team

The Ivorian manager is reportedly set to stay on with the Elephants for a few more months.

Emerse Faé’s contract is expected to expire before the qualifying campaign for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations. However, the manager will continue to lead the Ivorian national team for a few months.

Officially appointed manager in February 2024, the former Ivorian international is reported to have been reappointed for three months at the helm of the coaching staff, according to information from journalist Sanh Séverin. This decision is said to have been taken by the Emergency Committee of the Ivorian Football Federation.

Emerse Faé will therefore take charge of Ivory Coast’s first match against Ghana in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers this coming September. The Ivorian manager is then expected to step down from his post.
