Emerse Fae expects a tough match against Ecuador
Ivory Coast kick off their World Cup campaign in the early hours of Monday 15 June in Group E.
The Elephants are back at the World Cup after missing the last two tournaments. The Ivorian team will play their first match against Ecuador on 14 June at 11 pm GMT at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
But the Ivorian manager is wary of the Ecuadorian opposition. At a press conference ahead of the match, Emerse Fae highlighted his squad’s form before calling for concentration.
“Everyone will be available for selection for tomorrow’s match. We’re expecting a very tight game. At this level of competition, the small details often make all the difference. We’ll need to stay focused from start to finish and seize the opportunities that come our way.”
Ivory Coast are in Group E alongside Ecuador, Germany and Curaçao.
