Emam Ashour Receives First Offer Amid Controversy at Al Ahly
Al Ahly midfielder Emam Ashour received the first official offer to transfer, which raised speculation about the possibility of his departure next January, as a Turkish club officially contacted the Al Ahly club management, expressing its intention to obtain the player during the next transfer period.
The news comes amidst turmoil, as Ashour recently clashed with head coach Marcel Koller over his exclusion from the squad in Al Ahly's CAF Champions League opener against Stade d'Abidjan. The club issued a public statement imposing a hefty one-million-pound fine on the player for his conduct.
Sources close to Ashour have revealed that the player previously expressed a desire to leave, but Koller firmly opposed the move, emphasizing Ashour's importance to the team.
Even though there are still concerns regarding Ashour's future with the team, Al Ahly is concentrated on their matchup against Al Bank Al Ahly in the Egyptian Premier League this Sunday.
