Elite One: ‘We are very disappointed,’ said Patrice Noukeu, coach of Canon Sportif, after the defeat against Unisport

Marked by a flurry of goals in the 5th round of the 2025-26 Cameroon professional football championship, the match between Canon Sportif and Unisport Bafang played at the Stade Omnisports Annexe 1 in Yaoundé on Monday 16 February ended in a 3-4 victory for the visitors.

It was a defeat that Canon Sportif coach Patrice Noukeu lamented. The Cameroonian tactician particularly regretted controversial refereeing decisions, notably the penalty awarded to Unisport Bafang and converted by Fredy Lobe Mbang to equalise in the first half.

‘We are very disappointed. We had a very good first half and then we got caught out by a controversial decision. I would say that for the same reason, he could also have awarded a penalty in the second half,’ said Patrice Noukeu.
