Elite One: Unisport under pressure, Gazelle losing momentum

Matchday 9 of the Cameroonian professional league has been marked by surprises and confirmations.

Unisport’s position at the top of the Elite One table is now under threat. The club is just one point ahead of its closest rival, Coton Sport. Unisport suffered a defeat and a draw in the previous two matchdays. This has significantly narrowed the gap with Coton Sport, who won their match on the matchday 9 after losing on the matchday 8. At the top of the Cameroonian league, Unisport have 17 points, whilst Coton Sport have 16 points after matchday 9.

For its part, Gazelle FA is struggling for results. The club, which started the season on a promising note, has been finding it hard to win in recent weeks. Gazelle FA has recorded three draws, one defeat and just one victory in its last five matches. As a result, the team has dropped to fourth place in the league.
