Elite One: Dynamo de Douala announces the signing of two Peruvian players

Joseph Monteza and Joseph Maria Rodriguez are bolstering the squad of Cameroon’s runners-up for the new season.

The two Peruvian players arrived in Douala on Thursday 3 September. Joseph Monteza and Joseph Maria Rodriguez have signed for Dynamo de Douala for the 2026–2027 season.

The Cameroonian club confirmed the arrival of the striker and defender in a statement on social media.

“Dynamo Club de Douala is delighted to announce the signing of José Maria RODRIGUEZ (striker) and Joseph MONTEZA (defender) for the 2026/2027 season. José Maria, Joseph, WELCOME TO THE BON BA JOB.”

Joseph Monteza and Joseph Maria Rodriguez, who are set to make their debut in the Cameroonian league, will need to adapt to meet their club’s expectations.

With these signings, the Elite One runners-up are signalling their ambitions for the new season. Dynamo de Douala, who narrowly missed out on the 2025–2026 Cameroonian professional league title, will be aiming for the top in the 2026–2027 season.
