Elite One: Coton Sport held to a draw, Victoria United and Panthere FC win
The opening fixtures of Matchday 22 were marked by both expected results and surprises.
The Cameroonian professional league continued on Wednesday 3 June with four fixtures. Away from home, Coton Sport had to settle for a draw against Aigle Royal. The visitors were unable to break down the home side despite their efforts. The match ended in a goalless 0-0 draw.
Meanwhile, Victoria United pulled off a fine result against Fauve Azur, winning 3-1. At home, the Limbe-based club dictated the pace of the game. Faustin Ambassa, Santa Fouda and Prince Tchatat secured the win for Victoria United at the Omnisports Ngueme Stadium. Adamou Dansoho pulled one back for Fauve Azur to make it 3-1.
In the day’s other fixture, Panthere dominated Stade Renard. They won 4-2 at the final whistle. Cyprien Saha scored a hat-trick whilst Atedzoe netted a goal to secure Panthere’s victory.
