Elite One: Coton Sport FC’s title challenge hit a snag

The team sitting second in the Cameroonian league table has got off to a poor start in the second half of the season.

The defeat against Colombe on Sunday 19 April during matchday 14 of Elite One does little to help Coton Sport FC’s cause. Although Unisport Bafang drew with Aigle Royal, the gap has widened slightly in the title race.

As the 2025–2026 season of the Cameroonian professional league enters its decisive phase, Coton Sport now trail the leaders, Unisport Bafang, by five points. There are still several matchdays to go, of course, but it goes without saying that every point counts at this stage of the season.
