Elite One: Canon Sportif and AS Fortuna face heavy financial penalties

The National Dispute Resolution Chamber of the Cameroonian Football Federation has handed down several rulings concerning disputes involving clubs in the Cameroonian professional league.

One of the body’s decisions concerns Canon Sportif. According to the Cameroonian press, the Elite One club has been ordered to pay over 3 million FCFA to its former player, Guy Serge Edoa.

This decision follows the club’s failure to honour the commitments it had made to the player. The club from the Cameroonian capital will therefore have to pay this sum in accordance with the decision handed down by the National Dispute Resolution Chamber of the Cameroonian Football Federation.

In another case, AS Fortuna is also subject to a financial ruling. The Cameroonian club must pay more than 5 million CFA francs to Espoir du Caire in connection with the transfer of Ricky Ngatchou to AS FAR in Morocco.

Canon Sportif and AS Fortuna are therefore now required to pay the sums set by FECAFOOT’s dispute resolution body.
