Elite One Cameroon: Canon Yaounde FC loses to Fauve Azur FC
Canon Yaounde FC has yet to record a win in Cameroon's Elite One 2025-26 season.
After drawing with Stade Renard in the first round of Cameroon's professional football championship, the Yaounde club suffered a defeat on Saturday 31 January in the second round of Elite One.
At home at the Omnisports stadium in Yaounde, Canon Yaounde bowed out. The home team was beaten by visitors Fauve Azur, 0-1.
The only goal of the match was scored by Sanchez Owoundi in the 37th minute. But Canon Sportif could not find the resources to restore parity against a Fauve Azur team that managed to maintain its advantage until the final whistle.
At the end of the match, Fauve Azur earned its first three points and moved up to sixth place in the standings, while Canon Yaounde is in tenth place with one point.
