Today in Brisbane, Australia, the final match of the WTA 500 category tournament on hard court took place. The court witnessed a clash between the world's second seed, Aryna Sabalenka, and the fourth seed, Elena Rybakina from Kazakhstan.

The match lasted a mere one hour and ten minutes. In every aspect, Rybakina dominated the game. She recorded seven aces and capitalized on five out of seven break points. Remarkably, she did not commit a single double fault throughout the match.

As a result, the match ended in Elena's favor and she gave her opponent only three games in the second set.

The final

Arina Sabalenko - Elena Rybakina 0:6, 3:6

This face-off marked the tenth meeting between these tennis players, and the representative from Kazakhstan managed to narrow the gap in victories against her opponent. She has triumphed over Aryna on four occasions.

It's worth noting that during the match, Sabalenka took a medical timeout in the second set, citing issues with her left hip.

For Elena Rybakina, this WTA title marks her third. Previously, she secured victories in the 2019 Bucharest Open and the 2020 Moorilla Hobart International. She also clinched a Grand Slam title at Wimbledon in 2022, yet last year she fell to Sabalenka at the Australian Open.
