In 2025, Florentino Pérez’s current term as President of Real Madrid comes to an end. It’s time to initiate the new election process.
Details: According to an announcement by the "Royal Club," a board meeting will be held on January 7 at 17:30 CET to begin the process of electing the President and Board of Directors for the next four years.
Previously, reports indicated that despite his advanced age, the incumbent president, Florentino Pérez, intends to continue vying for the top position at the Santiago Bernabéu. However, a new term could bring significant changes to the club.
Pérez has long contemplated altering the club's ownership model. Back in March, it was speculated that the 77-year-old president might amend the club’s statutes to allow the sale of 49.9% of the club's shares to major investors, such as JP Morgan and Key Capital Partners.
Reminder: Pérez has recently approved a new transfer strategy for Real Madrid.
