The winter transfer window could mark a pivotal chapter for Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush.
Details: According to TeamTalk, Aston Villa have set their sights on striker Omar Marmoush and are prepared to make an offer during the January transfer window. Previously, Tottenham had also shown interest in the player.
To recap, Marmoush joined the Citizens from German club Eintracht in January 2025 for £59 million, signing a contract until the summer of 2029. This season, he has made 15 appearances for Manchester City across all competitions, scoring 1 goal and providing 1 assists, but has only occasionally made the starting XI: two matches in the Premier League and one in the Champions League.
It’s worth noting that Marmoush is currently representing Egypt at the Africa Cup of Nations, where he has already played two games and found the net in a match against Zimbabwe. He now awaits the round of 16 fixture against Benin, scheduled for Monday, January 5 at 17:00 Central European Time.
Reminder: American club Charlotte have offered Aston Villa midfielder Harvey Elliott a contract.
