Egyptian businessman Naguib Sawiris Responds Humorously to Fan Queries on Refereeing Decisions
Businessman Naguib Sawiris, the owner of ZED FC, went to jest about the controversial refereeing decision in their match against Al Ahly last weekend, which they lost 1-0. Well, it seemed that Ahmed "Kouka" from Al Ahly made contact with ZED FC Rashid Ahmed inside the penalty area in the 88th minute of the game, yet the referee decided to wave play on, with protests from the ZED FC side.
When one of his Platform X followers asked him why he had not commented on the incident, asking, "Where are you? We haven't seen or heard from you," Sawiris answered humorously, "In Japan." And then continued, "Looking for a Japanese referee."
To another remark that was, "The penalty incident isn't worth causing a rift," Sawiris said, “You're right. we'll let it slide this time.”
