Egypt youth national team coach promises to prepare a strong team
Brazilian Rogério Micale wants to build a strong national team, especially after he succeeded with them in reaching the Africa Youth Cup of nations after beating Tunisia 1-0.
At the Suez Canal Authority Stadium in Ismailia, Egypt achieved its second consecutive victory in the North African qualifiers, raising its score to 7 points in second place behind Morocco, which qualified in the lead, while Tunisia's balance froze at 6 points in third place.
It was not the first success of the Brazilian at the national team level, and he even managed to win the gold medal with the Brazilian Olympic team at the 2016 Brazil Olympics.
He also led the Egyptian Olympic team to the Golden Square at the last Paris Olympics.
Micale said in statements to the media:" “We are pleased to qualify, despite the delay in the preparation period and the fact that the current coaching staff took over late before the start of the tournament”.
“I thank the players for the effort. During the coming period, we aim to prepare for the African Championship and build a new generation of Egyptian Football” The Brazilian concluded.
