Egypt Women’s National Team Unveil Squad for 2026 WAFCON
The technical crew of the Egypt women's national football team has announced a strong and competitive squad ahead of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) set to be hosted in Morocco.
Newly appointed head coach Mohamed Kamal officially released the squad list as the North African side steps up preparations for Africa’s biggest women’s football tournament. Kamal, who recently took charge of the team, is expected to use the upcoming training sessions to assess his players and build cohesion ahead of the competition.
In a statement from the Egyptian Football Association, all invited players have been instructed to report for a closed training camp beginning Wednesday. The camp will take place at the National Teams Center in 6th of October City.
Egypt faces a tough challenge in the group stage after being drawn in Group C. They will compete against Malawi, Zambia, and the defending champions Super Falcons of Nigeria.
