The WAFU B tournament, a qualifier for the CAF Women’s Champions League, concluded in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, with the final pitting EDO Queens of Nigeria against Ampem Darkoa of Ghana.

The final, played at the Stade du 04 Août, lived up to all expectations. The two clubs, who were both in Group B at the start of the competition, fought a fierce battle right to the very end of the final.

Regular time ended in a 2–2 draw. The Nigerians and the Ghanaians had to go to a penalty shoot-out to decide the winner.

In the shoot-out, EDO Queens emerged victorious. The Nigerian side scored 4 penalties, whilst Ampem Darkoa managed just 1.

Thanks to this victory, EDO Queens have not only been crowned champions of the WAFU B tournament but have also qualified for the next CAF Women’s Champions League.
