The Burkina Faso international defender has attracted interest from Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United.

Although he extended his contract with Bayer Leverkusen last April, Edmond Tapsoba could leave the German Bundesliga this summer. The Burkina Faso international is attracting considerable interest across the Premier League.

In the race to sign the 27-year-old centre-back, Manchester United are reported to have taken the first step. The Red Devils are said to have made contact with Edmond Tapsoba’s representatives to discuss a potential transfer.

However, Manchester United are not alone in their pursuit. Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are also closely monitoring the situation regarding the Burkina Faso international and are keen to position themselves to sign him.

But with a contract at Bayer Leverkusen running until June 2031, Edmond Tapsoba’s contractual situation puts his club in a strong position in negotiations. The German club is reportedly valuing their defender at 50 million euros.

Edmond Tapsoba put in a solid performance last season for Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga. As well as his defensive solidity, the 27-year-old scored five goals and provided three assists.
