Edin Džeko close to joining Fiorentina

Fiorentina is closing in on an agreement with Fenerbahçe's experienced striker.

Details: According to Fabrizio Romano on X, the "Viola" have reached an agreement for 39-year-old Edin Džeko to move to Serie A.

Fiorentina’s management sees Džeko as a key orchestrator of their attack for next season and is determined to secure the transfer.

The deal is expected to be for one year, with the Serbian striker’s salary set at around €1.8 million for the season.

Džeko’s contract expires at the end of this month and, as already known, will not be extended, allowing Fiorentina to sign the forward on a free transfer.

Last season, Džeko played 53 matches, scoring 21 goals and providing 8 assists.
