Eagles of Mali arrive in Tangier ahead of friendly against Morocco
Having set off from Monrovia, Liberia, the Mali national team arrived in Morocco on Thursday 1 October.
Anthony Da Silva’s side will continue their preparations in Tangier ahead of the international friendly against Morocco, scheduled for Sunday 4 October. The Eagles will hold their first training session on Moroccan soil this Thursday evening.
Their sessions will take place at the annexe of the Tangier Grand Stadium. The coaching staff will use the coming days to fine-tune the final details ahead of this international friendly against the Atlas Lions.
This friendly match, scheduled for 4 October, comes after a successful start for Mali in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. The Eagles have won their first two matches and thus have two wins from as many games.
The friendly clash against Morocco, who have also kept a clean sheet in their first two matches of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, will be an opportunity for head coach Anthony Da Silva to test new tactical set-ups and assess his players’ fitness levels.
