Dybala stays at Roma. The Argentine's contract has been automatically extended
Paulo Dybala will remain a Roma player for at least another season. The Argentine forward's contract was automatically extended after meeting one of the agreement's conditions.
Details: According to the deal signed in 2022, a clause for contract extension is activated if Dybala participates in at least 50% of the matches played by the team during the specified period.
Last week, Dybala reached this threshold by spending 84 minutes on the pitch in Roma's victory over Genoa. According to Fabrizio Romano, Roma confirmed the contract extension. As a result, the agreement, which was set to expire in June this year, has been automatically extended until June 2026. However, a release clause worth €12 million remains in place and will be active from July 1 to July 31, 2025.
Reminder: The 31-year-old forward, who previously played for Palermo and Juventus, has been with Roma since 2022 and is one of the team's key players. He has made 101 appearances, scoring 39 goals and providing 19 assists.
