Today at the Sphere Arena in Las Vegas, USA, UFC 306 took place.

The main event featured a bantamweight title fight. Reigning champion and one of the promotion's biggest stars, Sean O'Malley, defended his belt against Merab Dvalishvili.

O'Malley was unable to handle Dvalishvili's relentless wrestling. The Georgian fighter dominated the fight, securing takedowns in every round and clearly outperforming the champion. The bout lasted all five rounds, and the judges unanimously crowned Dvalishvili the new bantamweight champion.

In the co-main event, another title fight took place. Mexican Alexa Grasso and former champion Valentina Shevchenko faced off for the third time.

Shevchenko focused on her grappling, and it paid off. The champion was helpless against her opponent's takedowns and control. Shevchenko's attempts at submissions and chokes were evident in every round, which was confirmed by the judges. After five rounds, Shevchenko was declared the winner, and UFC crowned yet another new champion.
