Bayer Leverkusen footballer Jeremie Frimpong has realized his dream of visiting Ghana, his parents' homeland. The player, along with his family, traveled to the capital city of Accra, as reported by Bild.

Born in Amsterdam and later moving to Manchester, Frimpong’s parents are of Ghanaian origin, making this trip a meaningful journey for him. The Dutch footballer spent his vacation in Africa and was greeted at the airport like a true superstar.

Fans welcomed Frimpong with songs and dances, surprising him with their enthusiastic reception. The player happily joined in the celebrations, dancing and enjoying the moment.

“Coming here is amazing; the atmosphere is so welcoming. Being in Ghana for the first time feels wonderful. These are my people, and I’m very happy to be here,” Frimpong shared with Ghanaian television.

Frimpong’s vacation in Ghana is expected to last one week. He will return to Bayer Leverkusen on January 2 to prepare for the second half of the season. Currently, the club is in 2nd place in the league table, trailing Bayern Munich by 4 points.
