DR Congo End World Cup Preparations with 2-1 Defeat to Chile
DR Congo wrapped up their World Cup warm-up campaign with a 2-1 loss to Chile in a behind-closed-doors friendly in Orléans on Tuesday.
After a goalless first half, Dario Osorio gave Chile the lead in the 52nd minute before Matias Sepulveda added a second late in the game. Joris Kayembe pulled one back for DR Congo in the 88th minute, but the Leopards were unable to find an equaliser.
The match was moved from Cadiz and played without fans following health-related concerns.
DR Congo will now head to their World Cup base in Houston ahead of their Group K opener against Portugal on June 17.
