The French will have to take a risk if they decide to field Olise.

Details: France head coach Didier Deschamps has revealed that FIFA has rejected the French federation's appeal regarding Michael Olise's yellow card.

"We have received a response from FIFA: the yellow card shown to Michael Olise remains in effect. Our appeal was not upheld," Deschamps stated.

This means that the midfielder's disciplinary sanction stays in place. FIFA's decision ensures the caution will not be overturned, which could affect Olise's participation in upcoming tournament matches if he receives another yellow card.

Olise was booked after a clash with Mathias Galarza in the round of 16 match against Paraguay. The Paraguayan went down clutching his face, but replays showed that the Bayern striker only grabbed his opponent by the shirt.

This incident raises even more questions, especially after FIFA agreed to lift the suspension of US forward Balogun following a request from Trump.
