Double raid from Istanbul! Beşiktaş close in on Juventus talent
Beşiktaş are putting together a truly ambitious transfer endgame.
Details: Renowned insider Fabrizio Romano reports that after completing the Ernest Poku deal, Beşiktaş are now ready to close the signing of Fabio Miretti from Juventus as well. A loan with a buy option proposal is on the table, the player's camp has given an initial green light, and talks are moving to the final stages.
The 23-year-old midfielder, a product of the Juventus academy, is not part of Luciano Spalletti's plans, and the Turin club are open to letting him go to free up space in the wage bill for new signings. In Istanbul, Miretti would find head coach Vincenzo Italiano, who has been driving this move and rates the Italian's qualities highly, as well as his former Juventus teammate Dušan Vlahović, who joined the Turkish giants earlier this summer.
For Miretti himself, this transfer is a chance to finally get regular football after years on the fringes of the Bianconeri squad. It's worth noting that Transfermarkt values the Italian midfielder at €15 million, while last season he recorded 1 goal and 2 assists in Serie A despite limited playing time, and his contract with Juventus runs until the summer of 2028.
Reminder: Striker hunt! Spalletti identifies two main candidates for Juventus attack.
