Two major transfer sagas of this summer are nearing their conclusion.
Renowned football insider Fabrizio Romano has reported that Atlético Madrid has finalized agreements with Chelsea for the transfer of Conor Gallagher and with Manchester City for the transfer of Julián Álvarez.
Atlético has agreed on contract terms with both players, despite some minor difficulties in the negotiations with Álvarez.
The transfer fee for Gallagher is set at €40 million, while the transfer fee for Álvarez amounts to €75 million plus €20 million in bonuses. Both players will sign five-year contracts with Atlético.
Last season, Atlético Madrid finished fourth in La Liga, securing a spot in the Champions League.
This summer, Atlético has been without their main striker Álvaro Morata, and they have signed Villarreal's top scorer Alexander Sørloth as his replacement. Additionally, forward Memphis Depay left Diego Simeone's team as a free agent.
