Dorival Júnior Makes Six Changes as Brazil Prepare for Argentina Showdown
Brazil is gearing up for one of its toughest tests in the South American Qualifiers, and Dorival Júnior surprised everyone by announcing on Monday that he will make six changes to the team that defeated Colombia. With several absences due to injury and suspension, the coach will revamp a good part of the eleven that will face Argentina this Tuesday at the Monumental Stadium.
In addition to the already known absences of Alisson and Gerson due to injury, and Gabriel Magalhães and Bruno Guimarães due to yellow card accumulation, there are two tactical changes: Matheus Cunha will replace João Pedro in attack, while Wesley will take Vanderson's place at right-back.
"With six possible changes, I'm confident that we will have a team ready to play a great match against a great rival," Dorival assured in a press conference, as reported by the EFE agency.
Thus, Brazil's starting lineup against the Albiceleste will be: Bento; Wesley, Marquinhos, Murillo, Guilherme Arana; André, Joelinton, Raphinha; Rodrygo, Vinicius Jr., and Matheus Cunha.
Dorival is confident that these changes will give the team solidity and anticipated that they are ready "for any situation" that Argentina might propose.
