Done deal! Manchester City star signs contract with Tottenham

Tottenham have taken the decisive step in one of the Premier League's biggest late-window transfers.

Details: According to renowned insider Fabrizio Romano, Omar Marmoush has signed his contract as a new Tottenham player. The Egyptian forward has now completed the contractual formalities required for his move from Manchester City, bringing a transfer saga that developed rapidly over the past week to its final stage.

Tottenham had previously reached an agreement with Manchester City for the 27-year-old attacker, while Marmoush had already given the green light to the move. His signature now leaves the official club announcement as the next major step in completing the transfer.

Sky Sports reports that the deal is structured as an initial season-long loan with an obligation to buy. The financial package is understood to include £50 million guaranteed plus a further £10 million in potential bonuses.

Marmoush follows Sávio in making the switch from Manchester City to Tottenham this summer, giving Roberto De Zerbi another versatile option across the attacking line. The Egyptian can operate through the middle as well as from wider positions.

It is worth noting that Marmoush joined Manchester City from Eintracht Frankfurt in January 2025. He recorded 16 goals and six assists in 62 appearances for the club across all competitions, while Transfermarkt currently values the Egyptian international at €50 million.
