Cristiano Ronaldo shared his thoughts on being labeled selfish and whether it bothers him.

On his YouTube channel, the Portuguese star stated that one should remain true to oneself, even if it displeases others. He emphasized that he will not change at this stage of his life and that it does not trouble him.

"Do you think I’m going to change now? 'Oh, Cristiano is selfish, blah, blah, blah' – do you think I’ll change now, at nearly 40 years old? Clearly not. Whether you like me or not – that’s part of life. It’s not a problem for me.

Regarding the national team, people said, 'He’s washed up, he’s 39, he’s aging.' But why? Because he didn’t score a goal. But what about the past? I scored 10 goals in qualification and made a double against Ireland before the Euros," Ronaldo stated.

He added that he doesn’t care who he scores against; he just wants to keep scoring. Ronaldo shared some lessons he has learned throughout his career.

"But I’ve learned something. You can be upset right after a match. If we win – then, of course, everything gets better, but if we win and I scored, I’m a little happier, honestly. But if you lose, you have to show that you’re angry," he said.

The Portuguese star concluded that the next day, once he has processed everything, he thinks: "Move on, life goes on." The past remains in the past.

It is also worth noting that Cristiano Ronaldo has shared his thoughts on when he plans to retire from professional football.
