Italian Lorenzo Musetti will make his debut at the ATP Finals, stepping in for Novak Djokovic, who has withdrawn from the tournament due to a shoulder injury.

On Saturday, November 8, the two faced off in a nearly three-hour final in Athens. Djokovic, who had already secured his place at the Finals, edged out Musetti 4-6, 6-3, 7-5, leaving the Italian as the first alternate.

However, shortly after the match, the 24-time Grand Slam champion announced he would be forced to withdraw from Turin.

For the record, Djokovic has claimed the ATP Finals title seven times in his illustrious career, most recently appearing at the event in 2023. Notably, the Athens crown marked his 101st career title.
