World number one Novak Djokovic has advanced to the quarterfinals of Roland Garros 2024.

In a highly challenging round of 16 match, the legendary Serbian defeated Argentine tennis player Francisco Cerundolo, who is ranked 25th in the world.

Djokovic had to play all five sets to secure the victory, with the match lasting a total of 4 hours and 37 minutes.

Djokovic easily won the first set 6-1, and it seemed he would have no issues today. However, Cerundolo managed to shock his legendary opponent by winning the next two sets 7-5 and 6-3.

Cerundolo had a chance to win the fourth set but lost his serve at a crucial moment, falling 5-7. In the decisive set, Djokovic used his experience to win 6-3.

This victory marks Djokovic's 370th career win in Grand Slam tournaments.

In the quarterfinals, Djokovic will face the winner of the match between Taylor Fritz and Casper Ruud.
