Djigui Diarra faces heavy punishment in the Tanzanian Premier League
A blow for Young Africans
The Malian international goalkeeper for Young Africans has been handed a heavy suspension.
This sanction follows incidents that occurred during the league draw between Young Africans and Mtibwa Sugar FC on 21 March. Djigui Diarra is accused of assaulting the referee during the match, a gesture deemed unacceptable. Consequently, the Tanzania Premier League Board has handed the Young Africans goalkeeper a three-match suspension and a fine of 2 million shillings.
Djigui Diarra will also have to pay an additional fine of 2 million shillings for making an offensive gesture as he left the pitch.
