Mamelodi Sundowns have opted to retain Zimbabwe international defender Divine Lunga in their ranks. According to iDiski Times, the reigning South African champions have exercised the option to extend the 30-year-old's contract until June 2026.
Lunga joined Sundowns in July 2021, making the move from Golden Arrows. Since then, he has made 41 appearances for the club, notching up three goals and providing eight assists while operating as a left-back.
Lunga is now fully focused on preparing for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup, set to take place next month in the United States. Tomorrow, June 1, his team will play the second leg of the CAF Champions League final against Egypt's Pyramids.
