Italian side Roma have once again emerged as the frontrunner in the race to sign Marseille winger Mason Greenwood. According to French media, this shift was triggered by an offer from Turkish club Fenerbahçe, which the Provençal club deemed far too low.
As reported by RMC Sport, the "Canaries" submitted an official bid of €30 million. However, Marseille's management reacted extremely negatively to that figure, describing it as "disrespectful."
The French club has no intention of parting ways with the 24-year-old Englishman for such a sum. The reasoning goes beyond Greenwood’s own high valuation; it also lies in the specific terms of his transfer from Manchester United. After Greenwood joined Marseille in 2024, the club agreed to send 40 percent of any future resale fee to the English side. As a result, Marseille is aiming to earn at least €55 million from any potential deal.

Thus, Greenwood’s future remains up in the air, but at this stage, Roma stands as the clear favorite to secure one of this summer’s biggest transfer coups.
